If you create layouts (not required) I would love to see them here and/or in the gallery at theStudio “Everyone Has a Story” Gallery

Question 34

More of our teenage perspective …

What music was popular when you were a teenager? What was your favorite song(s)? Who was your favorite musical performer(s) or band(s)?

There is no way I could write about this subject without going to my CDs and listening to the “oldies”! I am still humming favorite tunes.

This is your project. Your creation. Do it in your own way so it is unique to you. Be sure to enjoy the process.

Hugs!

I want to revisit the part of our story that has to do with birthdays … celebrations … anniversaries …  These are not always happy occasions, and sometimes they even go by unnoticed.

Question 31

What was the most memorable birthday* celebration you attended, and what made it so?

*it does not have to be a birthday celebration you write about

I would like to share a summary of my journal entry:
For me, the most memorable birthday celebration in my memory is that of my great grandmother, when she turned 100.  The family farmstead…the immense number of direct descendants the collateral families and friends … the tinkling of laughter and the smell of the 100 roses from the only grandchild who could not attend.  Great grandmother lived another 4 years and she spoke of that party and the roses AND THE LOVE until the end of her life.

Question 29

More of our teenage perspective …

What were some of the “fads” when you were a teenager? What slang expressions were popular during your teen years?

Have fun with this one, I am!

What a “blast” this week’s questions are!  The ‘60s were so cool, really bitchin’ twitchin’ bad.  My friends and I did indeed think we were “cool” with our permed curly afro’s, our bell bottoms and mini skirts, listening to the Beatles. We were copacetic,  fab, far-out even!   We “went steady” by exchanging  class rings,  we went to the movies and watched the California surfin’ culture explode and the Beach Boys sound compete with the “British invasion” bands.

What do you remember best?
